Calm Community

a safe space to cultivate calm together

Calm Community helps people, professionals and practitioners foster resilience, growth and deep connection with like minded people through weekly meetings, discussions, and special events in the community platform because we believe we can prevent and reduce conflict together.

Do any of these describe you right now?

  • You could benefit from more calm, clarity, accountability and alignment in your life

  • You are struggling with stress, conflict and/or trauma, making it hard to function

  • You are experiencing vicarious trauma from trying to help others and you want a support network

We are here for you!

Healing, growth and resilience take place in relationships and communities. If we are to help ourselves and the people we love, we must also take care of ourselves in community.

Calm Community exits to hold safe spaces for healing, growth, and curious conversations

  • Safe Space

This is a private space where all members are vetted and moderated. Aside from the main area, the groups are private for specific program participants.

There are no ads, spam, mindless scrolling, or distractions.

    Calm exists here.

  • Program Groups

There are private groups for my program participants where they can be in community both during and after the programs, coaching, and group coaching.

It is a great way for cohorts ot continue to connect and be in relationship with one another.

  • Accessible and Affordable

To make this important work accessible and affordable, this community is free for clients and program participants. I do offer pay what you can for my clients.

If you would like to support my work, there are opportunities to donate on the website.

  • Curious and Critical Conversations

It’s important to be able to discuss topics without fear of being triggered or attacked. Other social networks go largely unmoderated. Here we should be able to learn from one another without causing harm. If harm does occur, we will aim to repair harm (like in restorative practices) and learn from it.

In Calm Community, one year from now you could…

  • be calmer and have a more regulated nervous system

  • handle stress, conflict and trauma with less reaction and more resilience

FAQs

  • No, this is not a requirement. The community is another resources that coaching clients a program participants get for free. It can support them and keep them in community after they complete their initial work with me.

  • Calm Community originally started as Conflict Community (which is still included here as a private group!). I decided to have one community for most of my programs, with private groups for the different types of people I work with.

  • For now, it is free and included for all coaching clients and program participants. I do accept and encourage donations on this website (see below to support my work).

  • There is the main large group, Calm Community, which everyone gets added to. The private groups will include: Calm Conflict (10 week group coaching program for women as an alternative to current family court practices), Trauma Informed Courts (research and best practices for how to make court trauma informed), Conflict Community (for conflict resolution students, professionals and practitioners), Trauma Informed Pedagogy (for educators and academics).

  • Regular posts in the discussion feed, monthly creative RETREATS and READ-A-THONS, seasonal group book clubs, and weekly coworking.
